Alyssa Shokri is a seasoned creative with over a decade of experience navigating the wild world of freelance, agency, and in-house design. Her love for visual storytelling started way back in grade school, where she spent more time sketching mythical creatures and cartoon characters than actually paying attention in class (sorry, teachers). Naturally, this led her to pursue a BFA in Communication Design and Drawing at Texas State University—because why choose between art and design when you can just do both?

Since then, Alyssa has built a career as a full-time Marketing Designer and freelance Photographer, juggling multiple client projects from concept to completion like a design-world acrobat (sometimes literally—more on that later). She’s had the pleasure of working with brands and organizations such as The University of Texas at Austin, NXP Semiconductors, Proof Advertising, Tacodeli, GSD&M, and Bazaarvoice, among others.

When she’s not crafting eye-catching visuals, you’ll find Alyssa traveling the world, attempting gravity-defying tricks as a novice circus performer, or wrangling her six pets like a zookeeper with questionable hiring policies.
